Should Buyers Attend A Home Inspection?

The first thing to know is that the buyer can be present when the inspector is in the home. They have a right to know how the house works and which problems need to be addressed as soon as they close on the property. While the home inspector will take photos and develop a report on the state of the house, it helps some buyers to see the issues in person. It is recommended the buyers come an hour after the scheduled time so the inspector has time to evaluate.  It is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you have pertaining to any issue or concern with the home.
For example, an inspector might find that a few steps on the back porch of a house are rotting. The inspector will show the buyer exactly where the rot is, explain the scope of the issue, and describe what needs to be done. This could be a matter of replacing a few planks. However, the whole staircase could also need to be rebuilt. Looking at the problems in person gives buyers an opportunity to ask questions about them at the moment.
